The Johnson & Johnson Global Operations Leadership Development (GOLD) program will expose you to a range of assignments that can provide the challenge you seek and an opportunity to follow an accelerated leadership development path.

Program Benefits

The Rotational Experience (All rotations are within the Regions)

  • Asia-Pacific
    • Participants experience two twelve-month assignments at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies
    • Participants are eligible for rotations within the operations, quality, and engineering functions at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies in Asia
  • North America/Latin America/Europe/Middle East/Africa
    • Participants experience three eight-month rotational assignments at the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies
    • Participants are eligible for rotations within the operations, quality, and engineering functions for Johnson & Johnson companies within the respective region

Training

  • Eight weeks of intensive classroom training focusing on the capabilities and leadership skills needed for career growth
  • Classroom training is provided at scheduled intervals throughout the two-year program
  • Opportunities for regional networking sessions

Coaching and Development

  • Each company has a GOLD Program Champion who meets regularly with the participants
  • Participants have access to many mentors throughout the program, including Program Champions, supervisors, and the GOLD Program Office

Program Completion and Post-Program Expectations

  • GOLD participants are required to demonstrate the potential to be successful at the manager level and beyond
  • Performance appraisals are completed twice during each rotation—mid-rotation and end rotation
  • After graduating from the program, graduates will assume positions in operations, quality, or engineering within the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies

Qualities We Seek in GOLD Candidates

We’re looking for high-potential candidates with exceptional drive and determination to succeed in the engineering, operations and quality areas within the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. Candidates should have demonstrated leadership potential and outstanding interpersonal skills. They must also have had at least one internship or co-op experience. In this highly selective program, requirements are specific to each of the following regions.

Asia-Pacific

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or quality related fields
  • An interest in exploring multifunctional assignments within operations, quality, and engineering
  • Academic Achievement: must be in the top 20% of your class
  • A maximum two years of full-time work experience
  • A maximum of two years from graduation
  • Geographic and cultural flexibility
  • Authorization to work permanently in a country within this region

Europe/Middle East/Africa

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or quality related fields
  • An interest in exploring multifunctional assignments within operations, quality, and engineering
  • Academic Achievement: must be in the top 25% of your class
  • A maximum two years of full-time work experience
  • A maximum of two years from graduation
  • Geographic and cultural flexibility
  • Permanent European Union work permit

Latin America

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or quality related fields
  • An interest in exploring multifunctional assignments within operations, quality, and engineering
  • Academic Achievement: must in the top 25% of your class (not applicable in Brazil) with strong academic credentials
  • A maximum two years of full-time work experience
  • A maximum of two years from graduation
  • Geographic and cultural flexibility
  • Authorization to work permanently in a country within this region

North America

  • A bachelor’s/master’s degree in business, engineering, operations, or quality related fields
  • An interest in exploring multifunctional assignments within operations, quality, and engineering
  • Academic Achievement as demonstrated by a GPA of 3.2 or higher and/or must be in the top 20% of your class
  • A maximum of one year of full-time work experience
  • A maximum of one year from graduation
  • Geographic and cultural flexibility
  • Authorization to work permanently in the United States

We review GOLD applications between September and October each year. However, we may review a limited number of candidates between January and March.
