The Rotational Experience

  • Two twelve-month rotations at different Johnson & Johnson companies
  • Assignments across a range of financial disciplines such as operations accounting, financial reporting, sales and marketing finance, internal audit, and R&D finance
  • Experience in two of the following five business environments:
    • Consumer Products
    • Pharmaceutical
    • Medical Devices and Diagnostics
    • Corporate Finance
    • Auditing
  • Assignments may be located in

Training

  • Six weeks of classroom and e-learning activities
  • Training sessions delivered by FLDP program leaders, Johnson & Johnson executives, senior finance leaders, and external consultants
  • Curriculum focused on core leadership and business competencies, technical skills in finance and accounting, process excellence, value creation, and the economics of the health care industry

Coaching and Development

  • Participants are assigned a mentor to help guide them to success throughout the program
  • Program leaders also hold mentoring sessions during each rotation
  • Program Champions at each company work with participants to ensure effective integration into the program
  • Immediate supervisors provide on-the-job coaching and performance feedback

Professional Certifications

  • Participants are strongly encouraged to pursue professional certifications
  • Participants receive support and funding for training materials and preparatory classes
  • CPA candidates can satisfy their experience requirements through internal audit rotations
  • Participants who successfully complete CPA or CMA certification during the program are eligible for a one-time five percent salary increase

Program Completion and Post-Program Expectations

  • Participants need to complete all specified components of the program and demonstrate the potential to be successful at the manager level and beyond
  • After successful completion, participants return to their original hiring company

Qualities We Seek in FLDP Candidates

We are looking for recent university graduates with degrees in accounting, finance, or economics with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Candidates need to be motivated, high-potential performers who demonstrate the ability to influence and effectively lead others to achieve success in a team-oriented environment.

FLDP candidates need to have both the aptitude and willingness to learn and apply technical accounting/finance skills in challenging on-the-job situations. They should have strong interpersonal capabilities, along with a commitment to excellence and integrity that corresponds to the values of our global organization.
